AI workflow

Let your agent prepare the set.
Keep the final say.

AppScreenDesign connects to a compatible MCP client over OAuth. Your agent can create projects, choose templates, edit scenes and inspect previews. Attachment upload support depends on the client supplying a file reference.

Connect your own agent

One endpoint. The same project.

  1. Sign in and connect. Add the remote URL in a compatible OAuth-capable MCP client. Approve only the operations and projects you want it to access.
  2. Give it a concrete brief. Name the app, desired design, device family, target locales and the benefits each screenshot should explain.
  3. Review the result. Ask for panel previews, resolve missing images or copy, then open the same project in the browser before export.

AI usage is billed by your provider. Available connector settings and attachment transport vary by client. Remote MCP uses OAuth; local REST and stdio clients may use API keys.

Practical walkthrough

Give the agent a concrete brief.

Example: “Use these app captures, keep a calm green palette, write one benefit per screen and show previews before export.” An agent needs access to the original files and a compatible MCP connection.

  1. State the facts it may use

Provide the target device, audience, main benefits and any wording it must preserve. Tell it to avoid inventing reviews, awards, ratings or capabilities.

  2. Require a visible checkpoint

Ask for the template choice and rendered first pass before further revisions. Missing image slots should be resolved before judging the design.

  3. Keep the final pass human

Open the same project in the browser. Check the actual app content, translated copy, visual hierarchy and export before submitting to a store.

01

Attachment-compatible uploads

A supported host file reference lets upload_asset download and validate the original image on the server. Client compatibility should be checked during connection.

02

Structured editing

Agents work with projects, panels, copy, localizations, assets and render jobs rather than clicking a hidden UI.

03

Human review stays central

Open the resulting project in the browser, inspect the rendered images and make any final changes yourself.

A tool for your existing AI subscription

AppScreenDesign does not replace your AI provider. It exposes a project workspace and MCP tools so the agent you already use can do repeatable design work with explicit permissions.

Build an inspectable loop

Ask the agent to make a first pass, preview the result and revise based on what it sees. Export only after the complete set has no missing images or copy.

Questions

Before you start.

Does AppScreenDesign include an AI subscription?

No. You connect your own compatible AI client and subscription. AppScreenDesign provides the workspace, templates, renderer and MCP actions.

What does attachment upload require?

The upload_asset action accepts host-supplied file references and returns a stored key. The ChatGPT client must supply the reference; the connector cannot fetch a path that exists only on your computer or inside a chat execution environment. Check attachment support in your client before relying on it.

Can I edit the result without an agent?

Yes. The same project opens in the browser editor with all layers and copy available for direct changes.
